Louise Joy Brown was born on July 25th 1978 as the first human conceived using In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) method. Louise’s parents Leslie Brown and John Gilbert met Robert Edwards and Patrick Steptoe in 1976 after trying to conceive for nine years.
Louise’s birth created shock-waves for the church, politicians and the medical profession. Louise grew up at the center of the debate about the morality of In-Vitro Fertilization while being a beacon of hope to millions of childless couples throughout the world.
Louise’s aim now is to become a public speaker raising awareness around Fertility and Fertility issues and de-stigmatize people needing fertility treatment, normalizing their journey.
